It`s not easy compacting two months into one or two pages, but I guess i have to try, so here goes:

I learned a lot about traveling the past couple of months. I`m much more aware hear, everything looks clearer, sharper somehow. Traveling makes you aware to your senses:

Hearing - Trying to listen to an Argentinian speak faster then the speed of light, not understanding Hebrew because in your mind it`s Spanish too, trying to listen to someone talking right next to you over the wind that`s so strong you can hardly stand still.

Seeing - Mountains, lakes, lagoons, deserts, plants, animals, waterfalls, volcano's, jungles, sundown at 2:00 AM, sunrise at 3:00 AM, staring for 2 seconds at someone and knowing right away if he`s an Israeli or not.

Touch - Ice cold rocks when you`re trying to climb and can`t find your mittens, snow balls on the top of a mountain, scratching your legs like crazy after latest mosquito attack.

Taste - Stakes, chocolate, stakes, wine, stakes, dulce de lecche, stakes, ice cream, stakes, beer, stakes, mate, stakes, stakes, stakes.
Stakes.

Smell - The smell of ¨alcojel¨ when you clean your hands before a meal, the smell of wet socks after two days of walking, the smell of fresh air on the top of the mountain, the smell of Stakes, chocolate, stakes, wine, etc... :)

You go through every emotion known to man.
Shock & Aw when you see some of the most amazing natural scenery's on the planet. Fear when your sliding down an icy mountain, finding yourself in mid air and not really sure how to stop. You laugh with your friends about everything, including yourself, anytime, anywhere. You`re sad when your ways part. You miss home and you want to come back. You miss home and you don`t want to come back. You reach the highest level of desperation when you realize the 20km you have just walked were just a warm up for what`s waiting ahead. you`re as proud of yourself as can be when you`re at the top, knowing you could have given up, but you didn`t. You`re angry, surprised, exhausted, ecstatic, bored, nervous, everything. And you`re content, because you know it was an experience you`ll cherish for a lifetime.

well, that`s it i guess. the plane is leaving soon.

See you soon (well, most of you anyway),
Guy
