Danli

Heading towards Las Manos border with Nicaragua, you might get the chance to sleep in Danli which is a real ghost town.
People get here to spend the night only if they wanted to save some time for the next day, and cross the border to Nicaragua in the early morning.
After 8 p.m. during the week, the streets are absolutely abandoned, but some locals have said that during weekends there are few nice places to go out.
Don't come here especially for that. Once again, it is just a crossover city.

What to do?

• Danli is known for its cigars factories. If you smoke cigars, you can get here cheap hand rolled cigars.
• As you will be pretty bored in Danli, get to an internet shop and spend there as much as you can - It is the best time killer. Danli is exactly one of the spots in your trip that you would answer all the emails you postponed... :)
  

Special tips: 
There is no direct bus to Las Manos border. Get to El Paraiso and change the bus to Las Manos.

Where to stay?
Hotel Apolo – Very basic room for 1 person with private shower and toilet inside for about 5$.
It is cheap but don't expect too much.
