Cuzco:

§        If you are interested in the many sites around Cuzco, you can buy a special ticket that allows you to enter all the sites and will save you a lot of money. Available at the tourist information around the city.

§        Rafting the Apurimac River is one of the best things to do in Peru, but you have to know the dangers involved as a number of travelers had died there in past years.

§        If you are going to take a bus from Cuzco try to buy the ticket straight of the bus company (usually available at the bus station). Of course it’s easier to buy through the travel agencies around but their prices are much higher for the commission added.

§        There are so many markets in Cuzco that you can always shop, but like everything in Cuzco, it will be expensive in comparison to the rest of Peru.

§        Nightlife in the city is great, there are many bars and Pubs around the Plaza de Armas and 3 main nightclubs, where it gets busy and wild towards the morning.

Iquitos is a great place to experience wildlife but it is also great due to all the cultural attractions around it, so don’t rush it while there, take your time and enjoy the whole concept of the jungle city.
